Convention Services Manager

Boxer Resorts is searching for a Convention Services Manager with a proven track record, for our Elevation Hotel and Spa property. This is a nationwide company with a growing hotel division. Elevation Spa and Resort is a Boxer Resort located in Crested Butte, CO and is seeking a new key team member to lead its group and banquet events business. Full-Time employees receive a Winter season ski pass, Fitness Center AhMembership, 25% off restaurant purchases, spa services and retail items in the pro shop, including ski and bike rentals.

The primary function of this position will be the on-site needs for group events & banquets as well as assist with restaurant operations. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Negotiate food and beverage prices, functions space, and hotel services within the approved departmental booking guidelines.
  • Direct day-to-day conference/banquet activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for banquet team members.
  • Generate, detail and execute Banquet Event Orders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts to include food & beverage sales, and meeting space.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the group leader during events. They will be expected to greet the client, introduce them to the Elevation team assisting with their event and be available as needed.
  • Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
  • Sales & Marketing tasks as delegated and directed to the Crested Butte and regional communities
  • Support the operations of our restaurant, 9380 Prime and other depts. as needed during low occupancy or slow event periods.
  • Adhere to the Boxer standards of professional dress code.
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisors.


Experience, Skills and Education Required:

  • Previous experience passionately providing service to others
  • Professional demeanor with excellent phone skills
  • People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected
  • Candidate must be comfortable with computer systems including Opera, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proactive approach to meeting deadlines and targets
  • Excellent organizational and administration skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Higher Education or /equivalent experience in marketing or related field, highly preferred
  • 2 or more years’ experience in a hospitality or hotel environment required
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required.
  • Must speak the local language(s)
  • Able to pass background screen
