As Night Auditor/Courtesy Officer, you would be responsible for overseeing the auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions to support the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards and for providing a visual security presence to ensure that visitors have a safe and pleasant experience while visiting the building

Night Auditor Responsibilities:

  • Audit, post and balance daily cashiers' work for outlets including, but not limited to, outlets in Rooms and Food and Beverage
  • Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists
  • Schedule, assign daily work, inform and train team members
  • Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
  • Must greet and check-in; check-out guest late arrivals/departures
  • Assist with guest vehicles in valet after normal business hours
  • Will often be required to enter reservation fees for late arrivals, such as parking & pet fees W
  • Work closely with the Security Guard on duty after normal business hours to ensure safety and security of our guests
  • Process No Show/Cancellation reservations
  • Process billing invoices for next day departing guests
  • Will be trained on Micros/Opera Reservation System
  • Provides guest with directions and general resort information as needed
  • Respond to in-house guest requests
  • Enter and Cancel Guest Reservations according to standard operational procedures
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor which may include assistance within hotel

Courtesy Officer Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the safety of guests, employees and company assets through constant patrol and observation of all assigned areas and reporting activities in accordance with departmental standard operating procedures
  • Promote positive and courteous public relations to all tenants, visitors and guests
  • Monitors and maintains control of facility access points and permitted areas of entry and responds to sounding alarms ensuring the safety of employees, guest and company assets; monitor visitor activities
  • Gain and maintain proficiency with life safety system and central security panel of buildings
  • Prepares reports based upon observations, information and occurrences to ensure compliance with departmental standard operating procedures
  • Communicate with supervisor or manager on safety issues
  • Tour properties and monitor building operations
  • Maintain daily logs and shift reports
  • Adhere to Security Policies and Procedures manual
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year prior hotel/resort front desk experience at one property required
  • Reliable in attendance to work
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to interact with many types of personalities in various circumstances
  • Successfully pass required pre-employment screening
